NEW High Torque NEMA 23 Motor From Animatics![]() SM2315DT, Double Torque SmartMotor Featuring a New Compact Rotor Design for more Torque Capacity in Same Package Size The SM2315DT features an innovated new 8-pole compact rotor design with higher copper filling factor compared to conventional techniques and the new design achieves a higher energy density as well as better efficiency that results in more torque capacity in the same physical package size. “Animatics can generate two times (2X) more continuous torque than the World’s best selling integrated servo system, our very own SM2315D,” says Hack Summer, Senior Application Engineer for Animatics. The OEM Series SmartMotor™ is a complete motion control system that is known for being compact, user friendly, and cost effective. Using a patented design, SmartMotors incorporate a Servo Motor, Amplifier, and Motion Controller into the same integral frame. Similar to other members of the OEM Series of SmartMotors, SM2315DT is unique by virtue of its extreme low cost and high continuous and peak output torques. It delivers as much as 112 oz-in of peak torque while maintaining as much as 57 oz-in of continuous torque with a maximum speed capability of 4700rpm. What can you do with a SmartMotor?![]() The Animatics SmartMotor has internal, non-volatile memory that allows for programs to be downloaded from a host computer and saved to the SmartMotor. An entire system’s tuning and performance parameters can be saved and replicated from the first to the last axis. All input, output, and internal status information is accessible through defined variables for program monitoring and control. Up to 100 axes of SmartMotors can be networked together through a variety of field buses, including RS485, ProfiBus, and DeviceNet. SmartMotors can communicate with serially addressable devices on the network; for example, intelligent peripherals such as light curtains, bar code readers, and absolute encoders. Sensors, monitoring an array of events, can be connected and controlled directly from the SmartMotor. It is this efficient and flexible technology that drives our success. |
RTC3000, RTC4000![]() The RTC3000 measures 3.68 x 1.815 x 0.35 inches and makes all connections on the long edge side. The RTC3000 operates from a 12 to 24 VDC source and switches 1 Amp of continuous and 3 Amp of peak current. The RTC4000 measures 1.18 x 2.15 x 0.50 inches. The RTC 4000 operates from a 12 to 24 VDC source and switches 3 Amp of continuous and 6 Amp of peak current. The small motor controller outputs are protected from short circuit to each other, to supply and to ground. The 32K of internal program memory can be used by jumpering two signals together at the memory port. Alternatively, the port signals can be routed to an external memory module. Either way, the unit can be programmed in BASIC to operate stand-alone. Stand-alone programs can interact with all inputs and outputs of the RTC3000, affording total flexibility and a multitude of additional interface options. The controller communicates over RS232 and RS485. All signal ports have supply and ground to power external devices such as limit switches, encoders, hall sensors, etc. Like the SmartMotor, both the RTC3000 and RTC4000 have an additional network port called AniLink™ that interfaces with a vast array of peripherals. |
